Devin Morrow

I’m the Mines Action Canada intern based in Siem Reap, Cambodia until mid-August, working for Jesuit Refugee Service and the Cambodia Campaign to Ban Landmines and Cluster Bombs. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba I have a BA (Hons.) in Politics, and a MA in Political Science from York University in Toronto. I’m interested in conflict and migration issues, and spent 6 months working with WUSC-Sri Lanka and Unicef in eastern Sri Lanka on a reintegration project for former child combatants. That experience was really what pushed me to do my MA and seek a career in the human rights/development sector, to better understand the foundational and often problematic theoretical issues in humanitarian work. I love sunshine, good coffee, middle-distance running, my bicycle, street food, Turkey, exploring, new languages, and constellations. For occasional thoughts, follow me on Twitter @devindrock
